Duke Energy to Host Jobs Fair at Hanna Community Center July 23

Duke Energy, in partnership with GLIBE and the Greater Lafayette Commerce’s Diversity Roundtable, is hosting a jobs fair that is geared toward minority candidates from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 23. Duke representatives have said that they are looking to hire four to six linemen and want to make inroads into the minority community for these jobs. These jobs, according to Duke, start off at about $25 per hour and can then grow to as much as $40 per hour. GLIBE is gathering additional information and possible future partnerships with Duke. Tell anyone who you know is looking for work at great pay to attend this fair.
